AMIG began by producing presses, drills and sand blasting machines
for Italian and European lighting ware and headlight lens manufacturers
in 1980.
Over the years, AMIG has expanded its production range to cover the whole hollow
glass engineering sector, with machines for glass tableware (pressed and spun
glassware, jugs and decanters, heat-resistant kitchenware, etc.) and machines
for technical glassware (car headlight lenses, glass blocks, high-voltage isolators
and lighting equipment). Thanks to the quality and innovative nature of its products,
the name AMIG is known all over the world.
In 1997 AMIG was acquired by OCMI and MT Forni Industriali, thus
becoming part of the first Italian group capable of designing and
supplying complete glassworks on a turnkey basis.
